What is My Little Bird House Blog About?

Hello and thank you for being here!

I am starting this blog with the hopes that I can share systems and products that have improved my life and may improve yours! I am a mother of two little ones, and I have done my fair share of researching the latest and greatest baby and toddler items. I have also been navigating wanting a healthier approach to healing while balancing all that conventional and proven medicine has given us. My faith in Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior influences everything I do, and I hope you feel comfortable enough here to ask me about my faith or why I believe in Him so strongly.

I haven't shared who I am because I am a recovering perfectionist who struggles with the opinions of others. Would anyone from my life genuinely take the time to read my blog posts? Who knows. Do I say the same things in person that I will say here? Yes! I can't bring myself to collide my two worlds just yet. There is something so freeing about anonymity. I have more grace for myself and can create and make mistakes! What an opportunity.

What can you expect to read about here?

Anything and everything! I have tried to narrow my focus to three main categories: Faith, Motherhood, and Organization. As time goes on these may change. I'm so excited to see how the topics and content evolves.

Faith

The tools I use now for strengthening my faith and growing nearer to God are different than the tools I was able to use before having children. My quiet time is not so quiet now, and that is alright! The Lord meets us where we are, and if you are parenting, you are doing good work!

Motherhood

I am rather new to motherhood, but I am confident in the products I use. I may or may not over-research items. Before having children, I tried to use clean products but wasn't too concerned with my health. Something clicked when I had my kids and realized I was responsible for setting their little bodies up for success. I take that responsibility seriously, and I have taken appropriate steps to ensure we use quality items, but also affordable items. I try to find the best of both worlds!

Organization

Can you ever be too organized? My husband sometimes mentions that our house can feel like a classroom because many of my organizing habits were learned in my classroom. If everything has a place, clean-up is so much easier. I have also found that my toddler feels better when everything is in its rightful place. He once corrected my mother-in-law when she went to put a bin back in the wrong cubby. Whoops! Knowing exactly where to go for the toys he wants to play with saves us the frustration of wasting playtime searching for those toys.

In conclusion:

I am so excited to build a community here! I want to encourage you in whatever phase of life you are walking in while coming alongside you to give you some tools that helped me. Why the name My Little Bird House Blog? I have always had an affinity for birds. There is something so simple and joyful about watching a bird. The Bible also has many references to birds and how The Lord cares for us.
